Is "Sim-All Star" really legit or what?
I am going to finally get 2k11 this Friday. I don't really play My Player mode all that much, and I don't care about Jordan, all I want is a strategic game of basketball in the association mode. I had 2k10 dialed in pretty perfect with sliders on HOF for 12 minute quarters and would get super hard cpu play, that would produce extremely real stats, so my question is, is NBA2k11 Sim-All Star really as legit as I hope?

Not sure, still figuring out what the best level is for me. I got owned until now by the CPU on All Star, in 2k10 I played Superstar.
As far as getting superrealistic stats it is definitely possible imo with 2k11 but just as 2k10 it takes some tweaking and stuff, and a better roster file.Get that weak stuff outta here! -

It depends on what kind of challenge you're looking for. While I appreciated Sim bringing challenge to the game (something that was lacking from previous titles), I didn't feel that the challenge was dynamic or legitimate. I felt the game allowed the CPU to cheat and have several advantages over the user to make the game challenging therefore stretching reality a bit. It's not something I noticed initially. I had to really go in and look at replays to really see it. It probably won't bother most players, but it bothered me.
On the flipside, I think the game plays pretty fairly and realistic on it's default setting. You can bump the difficulty level accordingly to match your skill. I'm playing on Superstar now and I am finding the game as challenging on the Pro/Sim-Allstar/Sim settings, but more dynamic and more realistic in my opinion. In other words, the CPU is not getting any artificial boosts from the game. It simply plays to its strengths and attacks user mistakes and mismatches.According to my old marketing professor, satisfaction is when product performance meets or exceeds consumer expectation.Comment

Sim-All Star is no joke man. It is tough the beat the CPU on this level for me. I have been getting spanked by them. I see this as the level I will play at once I get the sliders to where I want. I want to play with shot stick shooting but it may change for you and your level of play.Comment

It's crazy. I was playing "The Arrival" Jordan Challenge, and I thought I was getting better...then I realized the game was on Pro/Default. I switched it to Pro/Sim and the game was still fairly easy. I switched it to All Star Sim, and I proceeded to get blown out, mostly because I could not hit a single jumper while Larry Bird was hitting EVERYTHING!
When I played the "Bad Boys" Challenge, Lambier was killing me too!Comment
