Can't get in/Checking hard drive

I have tried the last 2 days to play NBA 2K11 on my PS3 but have the same problem. The screens come up and I hit X then start and it goes to the loading screen. Problem is it goes to the checking hard disk space and never goes thru now.
I checked my space and have 6406MB/55 GB left. However this never happened before. Only thing that has changed was loading Gran Turismo 5 which put me down to the room I have now.

Anyone seen this or have a suggestion to fix the issue? Thanks in advance for your help.

Anyone that can help? I tried again and same story. Disc is scratch free. I am starting to think I am out 60 bucks.
