My Player Breaking out the Box

Am I along in thinking that it is time for My Player Mode to break out the box and become its own game? I think being just a Mode in NBA 2k11 is limiting My Player. Breaking out into another game would allow it to grow more.
I would love to see the training aspect of My Player expanded to where you lift weights to improve strength. Go running to improve endurance and speed. Train in jump training shoes and wear a weight vest to improve vertical. This list of training elements is endless.
I would also like the player creation expanded to include a tattoo parlor where you could go and pick, create, or import(bring picture to parlor.) Add a barbershop and hair stylist. I would like to be able to do things like cut designs in my hair for the playoff or get my dreads combine to look like Bob Marley. I want to be able to sport long hair with a ponytail or bring back the mullet or shag. Add a few more skin tones to it as well. I'd like to be able to create anything from really, really dark skin person to an albino.
I would like to pick a voice for My Player.
I really would like to see the point system change to where my stat went up from training and gameplay. I'd like to see the achievements turn in to some fictitious currency (think Simolians, call it chedda, I don’t care.) This would be used for purchasing a few new suits(The Hulk is tired of wearing the same suit to the game), a vehicle, or something to Pimp out my pad or car.
Add more endorsements to the game so I can have some reoccurring currency coming in to do the above.
I would like to be able to rise to the point where I have my own dunk package. My own signature shot. I'd love it if the announcers included me when they talk about anything other than what is going on, on the court, at the time. "Leading the league is rebound is 'Jamaal Holcomb,' second in the league is Tim Duncan, But Tim ain’t even close to 'The Hulk' when it comes to scrapping the boards."

The possibilities of what could be done, with this as a standalone game, are endless. Am I dreaming when I think this is the way My Player should go? Would other support a spin off game like this?

Re: My Player Breaking out the Box

I like this alot, and it would freeup alot of disk space on the 2K series as well.

The game would be sick, I would love to play a nice 10 year career, as long as I could sim games on my calendar. The better you play, the better your contract, you start living better like nice apartments, then a condo, house etc. Basically a mix of NBA Baller, and Maddens old Superstar mode or whatever they called it.

Give us harsh treatment, don't have us be the franchise player in the first year, and make the game harder. I'm tired of hearing people say "I average 40 points a game, 20 assitst and 15 rebounds as my PG" Like get that cheese, unrealistic **** outta here. Start of *** as like 50 OVR rated rookie, we try out for a team, but dont make the team so we play like 10 DLeague games. If we played good a team will call us up, if we played poor we stay in the DLeague. This would be crazy man.
Add me om PSN for a good game of basketball!

I like this! Hopefully this thread will gain some momentum and catch a few eyes. I would love to see the first (I think) NBA RPG. Who better to give it to us to us then 2K.
As I think of other things I will add to this thread as long as it has life.

I see the game starting with your player hearing about a '2K Training Company' dedicated to turning unknowns into NBA stars. You start out talking to some low level trainer to get you going then base on your performance you go up the ladder to personal weight, defensive, free throw trainers.

I would like to see an option to proceed to the next level. Like in so many other games you go up to an NPC and pick an option that states you are ready to try your luck in the NBA. That way, you don’t have to come in the league as a low stat freak of nature. You can train until you’re ready. For some that might be 40-50 and for other that may be 60-70.

I would also like to see choices mean something in order to increase the replay value. Blow out your knee and 99s across the board would be close to impossible. Play like a hothead and contract with team would be harder to come by.

Like I said before the possibilities are endless! Will it happen, well that is something I would pay for. 60 buck to be exact, 120 if you count the new and improved NBA 2k this would make room for!!
