Alternate jerseys for Classic Teams?

in one of the screens released, penny hardaway and the magic were wearing blue uniforms. i know blue was an alternate when it was first introduced (then eventually became the main jersey). anybody know if they had already made the switch by 95? or is there hope that 2K is giving us alternates (or retro/future unis) for the old teams? for people who want to shake the rosters up a bit, i'm sure they'd appreciate stuff like this:

Orlando switched to the blue jersey for road games in 94-95, the black then became the 'alternate'.

Expect for old Sonics (Kemp pic) and black Bulls alternate all of those jersey's were in 2k11

yeah. given that, hopefully it wouldnt be too hard for 2k to make em available to classic teams as well

Technically those Kobe/Shaq Laker jerseys weren't in due to the different material used in those jerseys compared to now. It's a minor thing, but it would look a little stupid having an old school Laker team rocking Revolution 30 jerseys of now.

That's true but I wouldn't hold out for an "alternate material" jersey, although it would be nice if they were that accurate.

I want the classic Bulls teams to have their alternate black jersey. If I'm not mistaken (and I could be because I don't play as the current Bulls), the current Bulls team has "CHICAGO" on their uniform and not "BULLS" like the Jordan era; plus, Jordan's Bulls didn't have the Bull logo on the back of the jersey, etc etc. I just want those black alternates from the time MJ was there--pinstripe or not...I want 'em.

You're right. I sooooooo wanted those in last year. Messing up Chicago Stadium and then not putting in the pinstripes or the ones without pinstripes were a let down. Game was still A+ and all no doubt, just kinda hurt not having those jerseys for the Jordan Bulls. Hope they made it this year.

I just like the old style on top so much better, and it doesn't even have to be the '96 (Pippen) pinstripe--it can be the '98 (extra) plain black. The ones worn today with CHICAGO look like the ones you would buy at the "urban clothing" store at the mall for $19.95.

^^I like all uniforms I see in the picture except Hakeem's. For me, those were just unlucky unis for the Rockets lol.

I always loved the old school Seattle SuperSonics jerseys and it would be sweet to see a replay in 2k12 where Gary Payton dishes out an alley oop to The Rain Man in throwback Sonic gear.

The post 1995 or 96 changes that the Rockets, Jazz, and Sonics made to their jerseys never appealed to me as much as their original. They were not abysmal but changes were not necessary. Hakeem looked like he played on a totally different team when the Rockets adopted these jerseys right after winning the title in 1995. Despite being an older team, I remember the hype surrounding the 1996-97 Houston Rockets with Drexler, Barkley, and the Dream. Even though they disappointed in the Playoffs, that would be a fun team to play as.

Another old school jersey I really liked were the Alex English era Denver Nugget jerseys of the 1980s. I would suit up Carmelo in those throwback Nugget jerseys quite frequently.

The Bullets had cool throwback uniforms and I really like the new Wizards uniforms. When I was a kid, I had a Washington Bullets starter jacket that was really cool. I don't know where my dad got that jacket from but no one had a Washington Bullets starter jacket in Northeast Ohio in the mid 90s. Chris Webber and Juwan Howard were two of my favorite players back in the day and I was glad when they beat my hometown Cavs in the regular season finale to be the 8th seed in the 1997 NBA Playoffs. Not quite sure the mid 90s Bullets are a classic team by any stretch but they certainly had a fun youthful team that seemed on the rise.

Would love to see the classic Denver unis. With they implement the bullets informs as well. That would be great.
