i've been reading impressions here for 2 weeks. all signs pointed to the game being wayy better than 2k11- which i dont doubt for a second.

now all i hear is whining & how 2k isn't listening to the issues because all they're doing is re-tweeting review scores. and i have no idea how this nba labor situation will turn out, not getting these rookies till 2k13 would be awful.

Im a 2k fan, but also a fan of a great sp game because mw3 will take all of my multiplayr time. With doubts all over the place about rookies , patching , bad passing , etc should i go for batman..?

this thread is going to be closed because you're comparing 2 unrelated games. however I would suggest getting nba 2k12 because it has more replayability. By the time you beat batman you only play through it once and you're done. With nba 2k12 you can play it all your long until next year comes out. don't listen to the critics, they are just complaining because the game is too real for them and they are pissed off because they can't win by 30 every game.

go with 2k12, you won't regret it.

Look at it this way.........sports games have unlimited replay value. Batman on the other hand, really don't unless it is going to have multiple endings. Either way you are guranteed come Black Friday both going to be on sale for $25.

I would buy NBA 2K12, then tell someone to get you Batman as an early Christmas present. I get NCAA FBALL every year and never pay for it because it's a "late" birthday present.

If you can't afford both, and your asking which one to get then obviously your not a hardcore sports gamer....just saying! Me on the hand I will be getting both. Just not getting batman on release day, maybe a few months later like I did with AA.

Man I personally feel sometimes we have to forget all the negative feedback regarding NBA 2K12 especially if all indications point to it being much better than 2K11. Without a doubt it's an awesome game even with the many gripes being posted around here.


I'm almost positive many of this issues will be addressed as always along with a rookie updated as soon as the NBA Lockout is over.


As for Batman Arkham City, to each his own but I doubt the play life will last as long, prove it's self to be as deep as NBA 2K12. It's like watching a televised IMHO. . . it's the best video game experience to date for myself and to think. . . I haven't begun to scratch the surface yet


I use to be a COD guy, after comparing game footage( is what did me in) with MW3 I think MW3 will be my game of choice. COD was a great series but I want to do more than just herp derp shoot shiny new weapons. I like the ability to commandeer multiple vehicles and aircraft. MW3 just seems intouch with todays. . . modern warfare. I marked Oct. 25th on my calender.


NBA 2K12 is a must buy even for EA dead horse beaters


TIPS

1. Stay clear of the whiny immature threads here. The same guys whinning are still playing the game and this I FAIL to understand.

2. Give the controls and new mapping sometime to get use too. You will quickly see you can do so much more than in 2K11.

3. Check out all the threads here at OS that offer ways to improve your gameplay experience such as defending, play calling and maybe sliders.

I would wait until black friday... then you can get both for about 80 dollars if thats an option. I mean the NBA season probably wont start until that time anyway so that could be your best option if you can wait

Not only are they different genre games.....you're asking this on a site dedicated to SPORTS gaming. The answer is going to be quite obvious.

IF it's that difficult for you, RENT both games and see which one you like more.
