    Quickness Effect on Shooting % and Shot Quality


    Hey guys just playing a game today Post Patch noticed quickness has an effect on shot Quality and FG%... Playing Grizz VS. Celtics and Was shooting 8% in the first quarter... I thought there was an issue never shot that low of a percentage before well changed Quickness to 65.... Played Mavs. VS Grizz and I noticed that shooting Percentage was up and shot quality was effected EX. Dirks fade way was a C+ shot quality while when quickness at 65 it was a B+ has anyone seen the same effects?

    I also noticed Cpu and User Got to the FT line more as well

      Hmmm.... I think it's time they give us a slider explaination. I think some foul setting can also effect gamplay as well. In some of there other games(APF2k8) they effect the gameplay.. I wonder if this is the case for there NBA titles as well?

        99% certain that foul sliders do impact gameplay. It takes an effort to create contact in order to create a foul and that means additional animations are being triggered throughout the game that otherwise would not have.

        I've especially noticed this with the Blocking and Charging sliders. The AI attempts more/less frequently to draw charges on drives to the basket with this slider set to different levels.

          That's why I feel it's a good idea to play on default. And just raise the commit foul tendecies along with tuning individual tendecies for players.

            Hmm no wonder, been versing Denver(scored 107ppg in 2010-2011 season) with my Raptors and I shut Denver to 74 points... weird. Raptors aren't know for their defense as well... or offense

              You won't get nearly enough fouls on default even with foul tendencies maxed out. Trust me, I've been testing this since the game released and have spreadsheet upon spreadsheet of foul data and ratings.

                Youve just saved me alot if editing hours. You mind sharing the spreadsheet? It will make thins easier for me while I wait for your roster to be released.

                  Don't be too quick to change sliders again soon after an initial change. Remember, everything is STILL percentage based, and you can just go through a hot or cold streak in any particular game. Make sure you go three or four games with any slider changes before you determine their actual effectiveness.

                    Check the thread in the Rosters section. The spreadsheet is linked there and the roster file has been uploaded.

                    Even players with Commit Foul tendencies of 100 won't foul out of games at default foul sliders. I've seen about 16 fouls per game on CPU/CPU with Over The Back at 75, Charging 100, Blocking 100, Reaching 100, Shooting 80, and Loose Ball 90. There are typically more fouls in User/User and User/CPU games though. The Shooting Foul slider has by far the greatest impact on number of fouls per game, but also unfortunately has the greatest impact on the actual gameplay since guys will be hacked all over the place on shot attempts.
