I didn't want to post as a glitch if it was only me.
Autosave is off.
That said, I save my settings (user profile, game sliders, and rosters, too). But whenever I enter the Greatest Players mode from the home screen, it tells me I have unlocked teams that I unlocked in October--then my settings are changed. I think it happens only when I go to the Greatest Players mode but I'm not sure. Has anyone else encountered this problem?
