I havent bought the game yet but definitely considering it. But need to know ahead of time whether or not if only 2 people can be in an online association? Me and a buddy are wanting to start one with just us two, but not sure if we can do it like that. Can someone help me out and let me know?

yes, 2 people can start an online association for current gen. You can acutally start an association with 1-30 players.

Yeah, you can start with anywhere from 1-30 players
