I have always been (and will continue to be) a single player gamer. Mostly that have previously meant being strictly offline.
Now I read that online is a huge component of the game in terms of earning VC for other in game purchases. But does 'online' in this sense mean having to play against other users?
If by strictly playing single player (association and myplayer) is going to preclude me from achieving VC or meaning I have to grind ALOT more just to get VC and make improvements, then that may seriously diminish my enjoyment of the game.
For example, will I need to play 50 games offline/single player with MyPlayer to even get him up to a mid-70s rating vs playing 20 games online against other people which would yield higher VC and mean that myplayer will improve faster?
Thanks for any advice on this. I'm sitting on the fence of whether to purchase this game this year or now. Right now it's looking like the first NBA 2K game I skip since NBA 2K7.
