I found the easiest way to do this is to let my kids play it on my iPhone and iPad at the same time. They just racked up about 1500 VC in 20 minutes for me.

I uninstalled the app after reaching the limit, then reinstalled and tried to earn more and it still said that I was at my limit. Any ideas on how to get past this?

It's been patched. 1000 is the daily limit.
