I have enough money to buy 2k13 but I want to know is there any improvements in gameplay and also is it better than 2k12? I have heard complaints that 2k13 is more arcade rather then sim and i prefer sim

Two different nba games. Two different types of nba experiences.....
Both are great in there own ways. Play both demos and see which one you like.

wait i never been so frustrated playing 2k basketball like i have this one.
no contact in paint.
block shots is damn near existing even if u have a beast like Mcgee
Sliding around like 2k12
no low post defense because i can't put my body on other player just slip by.
CAL the coach refuse to start me even though my overall is better and when i do start I put up huge numbers with McGee 12 min HOF on a consistent basis.
Ask to be traded to another team same thing even though I best big man on Team and 3 best player on team.
Oh CAL is bare bones should of been identical to MYPLAYER with same features they are same concept one just with real life players vs created ones.
I usually can hope on 2k bball and play from day one with a smooth ride even without sliders but not this year.
Wait man As a future developer i would prefer u buy game at highest price so company can make bread but right now

They both do...
Like i said, its not about which one is the best, its about which one caters to your type of nba experience and what YOU want to see in a nba game. We all see differently and have different opinions on this sport. We will never see eye to eye when it comes to sports video games. Both games have to two different types of gameplay engines. What i can tell you, is that NBA 2k12 is a much slower game & NBA 2k13 is a much faster game. NBA 2k12 is based much more on deffense, and NBA 2k13 is based much on offense....in a weird way they both still seem to give off realistic stats for how the game is played....
play the demos...you will see what im talking about.

hmmm...At the moment id have to say if you have a good Association/Myplayer thing going in 2k12 and your enjoying it i wouldnt give that up for 2k13.
It depends what your after out off your experience?

NBA 2k13 has potential to be good but it greatness really that depends on
1.What they fix in the patches 2.What Roster Projects we can download on 2kshare ,amongst many other things of course
Me,Personally as a longtime but currently frustrated 2kplayer iv'e been considering going back to NBA 2k12
Strange i know! i dunno something about 2k13 just doesn't feel right at the moment...or maybe i just need to wait till good rosters drop....hopefully we can download them off 2kshare!.
