Noone will take that bloated contract. The only thing they could do is amnesty them, but I don't see that happening either.

Someone just took Joe Johnson's contract. I believe anyone can be moved in the NBA.

Yeah, I'm always amazed when teams take on huge anchor contracts like that...but the difference between Joe Johnson and, say, oh I dunno, Charlie V (!!!) is that Joe Johnson has clear value which was displayed in the post-season this year. Teams will always be willing to overpay for flashy scorers who put up numbers (especially in the playoffs). And Brooklyn is in a unique situation in that they're a sort-of "new" team trying to hang on to a franchise PG and assemble a flashy team to make a splash right away.

I'd be surprised to see any more deals of that caliber this off-season, but we'll wait and see...

Bumping this since the season is starting now.
I honestly believe the Pistons are going to get the #8 seed, but it depends on how Monroe-Drummond work together/how quickly he develops.

Something tells me Drummond won't get the minutes he deserves. I have a feeling we stink again this year, pick up a lottery pick that can play the wing, and make our playoff push next year.

We could push for the 8 seed, but with 5 (Singler, Kravtsov, Drummond, Middleton and English) rookies on the team, we seem to be 1 year away. Should be an interesting year to say the least.

We don't get that lottery pick though if we suck this year though, because of that Maggette/Gordon trade.
