When I try using Xan's config, I get the JIT error caused by duplicate PGIDs and POIDs (I checked and there are a plethora of duplicates). When I use PocketScout's config or the NCAA Dynasty editor, I am able to successfully edit, but the file size decreases and corrupts the file every time I save, even if I don't edit.

I'm under the suspicion that the duplicate PGIDs and POIDs may be my problem here, but I don't have excel, and even if I get excel or use a computer that has it, I'm not sure how to quickly fix all the duplicates (there are FAR too many to do one at a time).

And I'm not even sure if the duplicate issue is what is corrupting my file. Could it be anything else?
Did you ever find a fix for this?

Did you figure out what the problem was and how to actually fix it? I had the same problem and the only solution I found was not using the editor for a couple seasons on that dynasty file and it would load properly again. Still don't know what caused it.

Re: Generic Editor with NCAA 14

I'm new to this modding stuff. When I tried to do it on the Horizons version and tried step 2 on the DB Editor, when I chose my Extracted File, it said "You must first extract the MC02/DB file from the roster!" Did I do anything wrong? I just clicked open and chose my dynasty/extracted folder.

Re: Generic Editor with NCAA 14

Hi. Could I use this to rename dynasty teams, players, and the likes?

For instance, bypassing the teambuilder option and creating my own teams and conferences manually?

Also, does this work for 13?

Re: Generic Editor with NCAA 14

does changing team overall/off/def affect anything? i'm in year 2020 so every team is pretty much +80 OVR, i'm thinking maybe altering that could create some separation? kinda got mad seeing every team on the ticker get upset this week

To a certain extent, yes, and to a much larger extent, not easily, if it is possible. Player attributes, appearance, and other demographics can be modified; so to can that of coaches, recruits, and the record books can be changed. You could change the text in the field for team names from, for example, "Crimson Tide", to any other text value. You could experiment with changing logos. There have been some reports that changing colors associated with a team is possible but separate of logos and jerseys were generally unaffected. You could reorganize conferences using the Generic Editor but, browse the forum before attempting. Others have done or attempted this and it might be helpful to consult their efforts. Always back up your files and back up your back-up files.

The Generic Editor could be used to create a config file (which reads the roster/dynasty data) and open a '13 file. Many of the fields are likely the same and if you search through past threads, others may have information on using the Generic Editor with '13
