Zone defense colors: What do they mean?

On defensive plays, I've noticed yellow, blue, and even pink zone bubbles. Do the differences mean anything?

Thanks!

This must be on 360 because, as far as I recall, there are only 2 colors on current gen. Yellow is a regular old zone and blue is a spy. The zone could be white but that's when the zoner is an IP. That's all I recall seeing in current gen but I've been wrong before.

Re: Zone defense colors: What do they mean?

In Madden, the colors correspond with the type of zone:
light blue = flat
purple = curl flat
yellow = hook
dark blue = deep zone

I'm don't know what the colors correspond to in NCAA, but I'll bet it's something similar.

Re: Zone defense colors: What do they mean?

They're the Madden zone colors. They don't really mean anything, I think they're just a way to tell the difference between them.

Dark Blue: Flats, screens, Outs,drag
Yellow: Curl, Outs, Ins, slants
Purple: Flag, Out and Up (don't know what it's officially called, we called it "squirril"), Deep Out
Light Blue: Post, Go/drive/run down the field, deep flag
