Man up or cover two. Bassically any Zone that has a flat zone in it to both sides but man up and press to get players in position better.

if you think its coming pick the DE and slant over there most of the time you can get an easy pick that way

i play MLB all the time so i'm alway's watching the O-Line off the snap HB screen is easy to see coming as the lineman try to setup the wall i drift over and bait it by hanging off a bit the as the QB is going to throw it i move in

Re: Best Defense against screens?

pressed flat zone doesn't work very well with smaller, cupcake or less skilled schools. The CB's get obliterated. Usually man coverage helps and then get in there too by controlling the DE on that side. There is nothing like taking that play away late in the game when someone has been getting away with it on 3rd and long all game. Take that bread and butter away in the 4th qtr of a close game and those guys drown

Speaking of screens, what happened from the demo to the retail??? In the demo the screen was money, I have only run one successful screen (+20 yards) after one full season in the retail version. Not that I'm complaining but what a difference...

I've had good success with it. Sometimes the CPU is too good at executing them. I played against Minnesota and they ran the HB screen a lot. I just adjusted my coverage so they played tight zones and would send my DE into the flat to cover the HB
