Re: What the heck is auto strafe?

It automatically squares your player up with the ball carrier.

All these football fans and no one knows what Strafing is?

Strafe= Move Laterally, also good for making open field tackles. Makes you square up.

I was scared of auto strafe at 1st with my APF2k8 experience..this is more fluid, thankfully.

I love auto sprint.

Re: What the heck is auto strafe?

Auto strafe question answered.

In regards to the on/off questions. The answer is it depends. If you're not used to doing it automatically because of previous years then probably on for both. I've left both options on but keep pressing the buttons to do it just out of habit. It doesn't hurt anything and EA's implementation is actually pretty responsive. For auto strafe the guy seems to turn at the appropriate time (for the most part) and for auto sprint it just seems more realistic (IMO).

Re: What the heck is auto strafe?

I don't think the auto-strafe does much. I'm turning it off and using it manually. With it on my LB doesn't seem to use it correctly.

This brings up a good point. It also probably depends on who you're controlling. I always use the FS so most of the action is in front of me. I could see with LBs or linemen that the guy might not turn quickly enough when your intention is to pursue.
