This is what I have been trying, along with other strategies mentioned here and in Week 10 2016 with Texas State I have the number 1 recruiting class with 2 five stars, 8 four stars, and 4 three stars. And only one of those players is rated below a 70.

I am in the MWC, have three star prestige and have built up my recruiting coaching skills tree, but I would say it is still a bit easy....
Heisman recruiting?

This so much. I use this strategy for any school I'm at. The roster limit is 70 there is no reason to stress out over keeping track of 25 prospects. I recruit the needs and then the rest I go by the best players in the state or just go straight down the top 100 and pick the players that have interest till I get in the 15-17 prospect board range.

If there is a recruiting difficulty option I missed it. Although I think I read in a review somewhere that there is no longer a setting for that.

I 'think' it might be running off what gameplay you have. But I haven't tested it by putting it on freshman or anything. Just a potential thought.

Re: Recruiting Tips (NCAA 14)

Just as an update, in 2016 as Texas State I did end up with the number one class.

3 - 5*
10 - 4*
10 - 3*
1 - 1* (FB)

*sigh* Time to go back to house rules.

Possible. I have been mostly simming on default AA. I may switch it to Heisman to see if I notice any differences.

If I am comfortably up (like 800 ish - depending on how many teams are chasing), this past season I started doing them ASAP, which resulted in a lot of commits, which allowed me to save the points and move on to other prospects.

If it is closer, then I typically go for the last date available for the bigger bonus. I am not sure if this is a good decision or not though.
