Did We Ever Figure Out How To Tone Down QB Runs

...off the read option through ratings? I've read about using custom m play books but was wondering if we had figured out how to tone it down? I thought we had a handle on it back in the day but can't remember how. I guess trying to figure out how to make the QB not make the decision perfect read all the time as well as the defensive end not crashing down on the running back the majority of the time. I wish I could find how to manipulate the gameplan settings in the editor so that the CPU gameplan would be set to balanced because I mostly do CPU vs CPU.

I know you can pick what you want the defense to focus on in the option, IE focus on RB or QB.

Personally, I usually have them focus on RB and use a spy or bring the safeties to handle the QB. It's decently successful.

Only problem with that is you're going to end up with CPU QB's having 25+ carries a game if they run a spread option offense. I've tried to combat this by forcing the CPU to use a custom playbook (requires a second controller) where I have reduced the number of read option plays and added in more conventional running plays. This basically just makes the CPU less likely to call Read Option and thus, normalizes the number of carries between the HB and QB.

Already done my brotha. Still was having issues. So, I'm just using custom playbooks now.

The quarterback's BCV (ball carrier vision) rating has a lot to do with how often he runs. If his rating is at 70, he'll run all the time with the ball.

To combat this, I did 2 possible adjustments:
1. Multiply the BCV by 0.6
or
2. Maxed out the BCV rating at 60

Do you use the same custom playbook for every team that you play or what? I'm trying to get better games, but I didn't want to spend my time going through playbooks taking plays out.
