Orton is a part of a team with a great defense, solid running game and good WRs. Everybody trying to say different is just trying to get under people's skin.

Just because the trade was made for 2 first rounders does not mean that Cutler and Orton will not be linked. They will always be linked. No matter what you say, they will always be linked. I know that it was made because of the two first rounders and Orton was put in because Chicago didn't need him anymore and Denver was going to need someone to fill in till they found something new. That, however, doesn't mean that they wont be linked. You wont avoid that.

Linked, yes. Compared as if they should be equal? Only if you don't really get it. Either way, it's in no way similar to the situations you mentioned. The main part of the trade was the two (TWO) #1 draft picks. Manning and Rivers were basically considered a wash as were Manning and Leaf. I wouldn't think Smith/Rodgers even belongs with those two but it compares much more than this.

My point wasn't that they were comparable to each other my point they will always be compared just as those other players will always be compared because of how things went down.

Like you said, they will be linked. However, I choose to look at things realistically. The link is strictly because of the situation and shouldn't be a comparison, no matter what the media feeds the uniformed.

This is an excellent point, and I agree.

That was my point all along. I think you believe that I think they should be compared. I don't, I just don't think you're going to escape it. My point about the Manning/Rivers or Manning/Leaf was just to point out that they will be compared. Not that they should be.

My first reply was disagreeing with the comparisons. The last reply was saying I refuse to accept them and just let it be. It's pretty annoying and has to be even more annoying for you guys (both broncos and bears fans... realistic ones). I may not escape it but I won't go quietly, lol.

Yeah. Unless Forte gets healthy or Wolfe starts to get more carries I fear our offense is going to get killed.
