Lowered clock for each Period and accelerated clock not working??

In my settings, I have 8 min periods and accelerated clock on, but when I play in franchise (and still having same settings) everytime I play a game it is a 20 min / period game with NON-ACCELERATED clocks....

Anyone else with this issue and is there something Im missing here?

because its defaulted to "NHL" settings in a season

20 min periods are fine SOME TIMES, but not if you like getting through a SEASON (let alone a FRANCHISE) in a reasonable amount of time, without simming a lot of it.

So does that mean I can NOT change it then/ turn "NHL default" off?
