Brees and Peterson

yeah, just starters... hell couldnt even fill that out lol

i had 1.75 left w/ no kicker, i was gonna try and change a few things to get a kicker but forget

was planning on selling my #2 WR Lance Moore at 14.73 and picking up a cheaper WR in the 5-8 buck range who I felt was good value... had my eyes on Smith (giants fan here), Hixon (same thing lol), or more likely Burleson or Heyward-Bay... I actually had Burleson originally when i was first deciding who i wanted, sold him because i was still playing around w/ salary to get all the pieces to fit right, and meant to come back to him... then i was going to use the remaining bucks to pick up a kicker

i just have a gut feeling forgetting to do that is going to come back and bite me

not to mention Moore sucked it up anyway and Burleson got 7.6 more points then him... add that to say the 8 points i could have gotten from a kicker, and this thing absolutely would have been locked up (was actually looking at Carney as my kicker, he had 9 points this week, so it would have been 1 more point lol)

I had both Brees and Peterson. Good thing I had them, my TE Fasano sucked and my WR A. Gonzalez, is hurt now...

Anyone tempted to sell Peterson? Good Lord has his value taken a huge jump sitting at 65.74, I know the guy is unbelievable but thats almost 33% of your entire teams budget spent on one player.

I just did. He was taking up a huge chunk of my team. I know he is the best running back in the league, but if I release him and it helps me get another stud RB and QB. He is worth $23.27 more than the next running back, MJD. I think it's worth it.

Yeah Im torn, Ive got Peterson and while hes an absolute stud I could also sell him and replace him with Clinton Portis and then add Greg Jennings to WR over Mario Manningham but at the same time, its Adrian Peterson, lol.

EDIT- By the way, and I probably shouldnt be saying this as it will only work to raise his value before I buy him, but Im absolutely shocked that Portis' value has dropped 1.13 just today even though hes going against St Louis who made Julius Jones look like a Pro Bowl RB just last week. Throw in the fact that he goes against Detroit next week and youve got a good, solid play for the next 2 weeks basically.

So Im digging this up as I was curious who was going to take a chance this week at one position so they could grab Peterson at a discount since hes on a bye? I had Drew Brees but considering outside of 2 huge games, hes been anything but spectacular I gambled and took Matt Cassell this week and stashed Peterson on my bench for next week. Anyone else doing something similar?

I've rode AP all season long but with my budget situation I had to sell him.

I'm happy with my backfield tandem of DeAngelo Williams and MJD but I know getting rid of Adrian will come back to bite me if I can't get him back next week, and there is a good chance of that happening considering I'm not home when the trading floor opens. That has affected so many of my decisions through the course of the season.

I still have Brees too but you are right about him only having 2 really great games.

Williams and MJD are a pretty solid backfield though, I had Thomas Jones and Ronnie Brown, lost money on Jones thanks to his bye and sold Brown. While I like Brees, he hasnt been as explosive this year and when there are guys selling for 10.00+ less then him and are doing nearly the same or better then Brees then I have a hard time keeping him. Whats your team value? Im at 233.88 and I fluctuate between 235.00-255.00 normally as I will peak late in the week and then drop back down Tuesday by the time I get to the PC to make my changes.
