I rented All Star 2003 this weekend for fun just because I cant wait for the new games, and I wanted to see what the fans of this game were talking about.
After extensive play, I realise that I just dont like the game at all, stiff controls, the guessing the spot cursor system, and some strange bugs.
My main problem was that no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't hit a ball to right field. All the right handed hitters always pull the ball, and all the lefties hit the ball the other way. It didnt make any differece where I pointed the cursor or the timiming of the swing. I went to batting practice and home run derby with the same results. I first noticed it when I was in the home run derby in classic yankee stadium. The stadium was great, but I wanted to jack one into the short rightfield porch, but couldn't because of the wierd hitting.
Anyone else noticed this? Anything that can be done? I have this game for a few more days and would like to get some kind of enjoyment out of it. I dont want to offend the fans of this game, but I think the game is lousy despite all the great details and options.
