Re: MLamm's WWE Universe

SmackDown Live! presents BackLash! Tonight; The Uso's defend their tag team titles against American Alpha! Plus; Kevin Owens looks to win back the U.S. Championship against Mojo Rawley in a No Holds Barred match! Randy Orton and Kane Main Event tonight's show for the WWE Heavyweight Championship!

Pre-Show:

Breezango vs The Shining Stars | *3/4

Tonight's show kicks off with Breezango vs The Shining Stars! Both teams were involved in deciding who would be the number 1 contender's match for the tag belts tonight, and are compensated in this match for their losing efforts.

Both teams put on a good match to open the show. Breezango looked like they are very close to turning a corner as their team chemistry has grown exponentially. Tyler Breeze helps them pick up a much needed win at a pay per view via the Beauty Shot.

Main Show:

Match 1: Tye Dillinger vs Aiden English | **1/2

Up first we have the rubber match between Aiden English and Tye Dillinger. Both men have picked up a win each vs eachother in recent SDL Episodes. The Perfect 10 starts out strong, encouraged by "10!" chants from the crowd. Aiden English is no slouch however, and is desperate for a win. He's desperate to the point that when they are backed into a corner he lowblows Dillinger with a shot to the groin! The ref somehow misses it. English is in control now, and with Dillinger weakened, English is able to hit the Whirling Dervish to secure the win.

Spoiler

Match 2: American Alpha vs The Usos (C) | Tag Team Championship Match | ***

This is American Alpha's first chance to win back the gold since losing it before WM33. The Usos have dominated the tag division as of late, not losing since they won the belts in the first place. American Alpha are coming off of two wins which secured them the #1 contenders spot for the match, while the Usos have gotten some rest, making them the more fresh team.

The Usos deliver hard kicks to both Gable and Jordan as they manage to keep Gable in their corner for a majority of the match. He manages to hit a big belly-to-belly suplex which buys him just enough time to make the hot tag to Jason Jordan. Jordan comes in and cleans house! It looks like they are setting up to hit the Grand Amplitude, but as Gable sets up, waiting for Jordan, Jey Uso comes in and Superkicks Gable to the chin, essentially knocking him out. A confused Jason Jordan turns around and walks into another superkick from The Usos. The Usos make the pinfall and retain.

Spoiler

Match 3: Charlotte vs Becky Lynch ***1/2

The first match after WM33 featured Charlotte, who had switched over to the SDL Brand, going up against Becky Lynch. The match was surrounded in controversy however as the ref did not see that Charlotte's foot was on the rope and proceeded to deliver the three count. Charlotte was obviously annoyed by this, and told Becky Lynch that comes BackLash Lynch would be the first victim in Charlotte's new undefeated streak, as she is genetically superior.

The match starts and both women go at it, having a very good match, much similar to their first match on SmackDown Live! Becky Lynch finds a hole in Charlottes gameplan and hits a brutal looking Bexplex. She goes to lock in the Four Leaf Clover and it looks like Charlotte is about to tap! Charlotte manages to get to the ropes however and as the referee actually sees this one he forces Becky to break the count. Charlotte tries a small package but Lynch kicks out at 2. Lynch waits for the pumphandle sideslam, but Charlotte slips out and hits the Backpack Stunner! She then locks in the Figure-Eight leglock in the middle of the ring, and Becky is forced to tap. Charlotte holds the lock long after the bell is rang, and Becky looks very hurt.

Spoiler

Match 4: Kevin Owens vs Mojo Rawley (C) | U.S. Championship | No Holds Barred | *** 1/2

A promo package plays before the match, showing KO's SmackDown debut, and how it was spoiled by Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal winner Mojo Rawley! It then flashes forward to Mojo's match vs Kane, where KO cost him the match by brutally attacking him. Both men make their entrances.

Kevin Owens tries his best to avoid Mojo as much as he can, while rolling in and out of the ring to slow down Mojo's momentum. Mojo has had enough though and chases Owens to the outside, where Owens manages to irish-whip him into the ring post. He then picks him up and throws Rawley into the stairs. He gets out a chair and barely misses Rawley, which allows Rawley to get some offense in. He rolls Owens into the ring and gets a 2 count.

Owens has been weakened now as Rawley whips him around the ring. Owens takes advantage of the no DQ stipulation and hits Rawley with a lowblow. The brawl once again spills onto the outside, where Owens hits Rawley with a powerbomb onto the ring apron. He gets the steel chair he had previously attempted to use, and throws it into the middle of the ring. He connects with a pop-up powerbomb onto the steel chair. This one is over, and Kevin Owens is once again the U.S. Champion.

Spoiler

Match 5: Sami Zayn vs AJ Styles | ****

This is bad blood between these two as Styles and Zayn were involved in a number 1 contender's match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Styles accuses Zayn as being a pest, a fly that wouldn't leave him alone, and ultimately lost him his chance to take on Randy Orton tonight as they both lost to Kane, the number 1 contender. He attacked Sami Zayn on the go-home show of SDL before the ppv.

This is easily the match of the night as both guys are electric performers. They take turns getting their spots off in the match, as Zayn does his blue liger bomb but Styles is able to kick out. He rolls out of the ring, and Zayn goes over the top rope, landing on Styles on the outside. Both competitors are in the ring later in the match, and Styles is set up for the Helluva Kick!

Styles manages to roll out of the way however and connects with a big Pele Kick to Zayn, who sells it beautifully, crumbling to the ground. Styles then connects with the Phenomenal Forearm. 1... 2.. Zayn barely kicks out! Styles has had enough however, and sets up and hits the Styles Clash. This time, there's no kicking out as Styles picks up a win.

Spoiler

Main Event: Kane vs Randy Orton (C) | WWE World Heavyweight Championship | ***3/4

The Main Event is here, as the Demon Kane is going up against The Viper, Randy Orton. These are flashbacks to when both guys were megastars 5-10 years ago. They both still have it. Randy Orton looks to be struggling with the monster Kane, as Kane is starting to have his way with Orton. Everything seems to be working. He tries for the chokeslam, but Orton has been working Kane's knee, and kicks him to get free.

Later on in the match, Orton connects on the apron DDT, and goes for the pin... 1.. 2.. Kane barely kicks out! Orton, frustrated at this point, then sets up for the RKO to put this one away. However, Kane reverses it, sending Orton off of the ropes and grabs him by the throat. A big chokeslam!! 1... 2... Orton gets a shoulder up just in time! Kane takes a play from the book of recently retired The Undertaker, and signals for the end, possibly teasing the Tombstone Piledriver! He kicks Orton in the gut, and as he's about to set up for it, Orton pushes Kane away and reverses it into an RKO out of nowhere! He connects on the RKO, and is able to retain his championship.

Re: MLamm's WWE Universe

Great PPV, man!

Glad to see Owens win back the US Championship...Mojo can go to the unemployment line now.

The tag team match was solid, and liked the outcome.

AJ Styles and Sami Zayn stole the show, and boy did they ever do it in style.

The main event was predictable to me, Kane doesn't belong, but neither does Orton.

Re: MLamm's WWE Universe

Welcome to Raw! Tonight is the last show before Extreme Rules this Sunday!
Tonight we get a preview of this upcoming pay-per-view with The Hardys taking on The Club in a non-title match! Kalisto and Austin Aries compete to see who takes on Neville for the Cruiserweight Championship! Plus, in tonight's Main Event; a Fatal Four-Way between Finn Balor, Roman Reigns,
Seth Rollins, and Samoa Joe!

Match 1: The Club vs The Hardy Boyz (C)

A preview of what's to come this weekend we have the tag team champions taking on their opponents at Extreme Rules, The Club. The match starts with Jeff Hardy and Karl Anderson in the ring. Karl Anderson manages to get in some offense and makes the tag to Luke Gallows. They try to once again isolate one of the Hardyz, as they did a few weeks ago. Fortunately, Jeff is able to tag in his brother, Matt. He gains momentum, and is able to hit the Side Effect on Gallows. He tags in Jeff, and Jeff hits the Swanton Bomb to get the pinfall.

After the match, The Club attack the Hardyz from behind with chairs. They then connect on a Magic Killer to Matt Hardy, leaving the tag champions laying in the ring.

Spoiler

Match 2: TJ Perkins vs Neville (C)

The King of the Cruiserweights squashes TJ Perkins as he brutally attacks him the entire match. He makes TJP tap out to The Rings of Saturn, and continues to attack TJ Perkins after the match.

Spoiler

After the match, Neville joins the commentary team to watch the following match.

Match 3: Kalisto vs Austin Aries

This match is for the number 1 contender to face Neville at Extreme Rules. Both guys have been helping build the cruiserweight division, and both have high flying offenses.

Halfway through the match, Austin Aries hits a discuss five-arm to Kalisto. As he goes for the pin, Neville slides into the ring out of nowhere and attacks Austin Aries, and the ref has to ring the bell. Neville continues to attack both superstars and refs have to come out from the back to stop the Cruiserweight King.

Spoiler

Match 4: Sasha Banks vs Alexa Bliss

Alexa Bliss has a hard matchup for her tonight as she looks to tune-up for her match vs Emma at Extreme Rules. Banks and Bliss go at it, and Bliss looks to cheat at any turn she can. She manages to roll over the Bank Statement, and grabs Bank's tights while she gets the 3 count with a small package.

Main Event: Finn Balor vs Roman Reigns vs Seth Rollins vs Samoa Joe | Fatal 4-Way

This is the highlight of the night as Balor will take on Reigns this weekend, with Rollins taking on Joe. The future opponents all go at it, with Rollins and Joe brawling outside of the ring, and Balor and Reigns inside the ring. Rollins gets irish-whipped hard into the guardrail, at the same time Balor is thrown over the top rope by Reigns. Joe gets into the ring and immediately goes at it with Roman Reigns for the first time ever. Their miniature brawl ends however as Balor and Rollins have returned into the ring and take both guys out.

Now, it is Balor and Rollin's turn and Balor manages to drop kick Rollins into the corner of the ring. Right as he's about to set up for the Coup De Grace, Samoa Joe turns him around and Muscle Busters him! Samoa Joe then turns around into a spear from Roman Reigns! Joe and Balor both roll out of the ring. Reigns turns around and Rollins kicks him in the gut. He sets up for the pedigree but Reigns pushes him away. He then throws Rollins off the ropes and connects with the Superman Punch! Reigns covers Rollins and gets the 3 count, sealing the victory.
