Just got Madden 08 for the Computer and it won't load!
 

I've installed it fine and now when I go to play it the little notification pops up that tells me that "Madden 08 has stopped working" and that it will alert me when they have solved the problem.

Does anybody know what I can do to make it run properly.

I'm running vista and my settings are above and beyond the required and preferred settings.

it has been a long time since i have played the game so ill try to help
first of if you are running vista try running game as administrator you have to right click on the desktop icon and choose that.

another thing you can do is right click on the icon and choose compatability mode chose windows xp see if that helps

option 3 this is more tricky but it might help you
open task manager
find madden main app/ right click and set affinity/uncheck cpu 1
you will have to be able to have madden in windowed mode
to do this
madden main directory delete the keyblo file
in the madden.ini file in my docs scroll down and set windowed mode to yes and save
also right click main app on your desktop icon/choose properties/ compatibility and run madden in xp compatiblity mode

also if you want windowed mode during game, pause and hit alt/enter

thanks however, with the third option i do not have a madden file in my docs because I haven't had the opportunity to play yet. :confused:
