Re: MLB '10: The Show Top 5 Left Fielders
I like how Josh Hamilton is almost as good as Albert Pujols...interesting... And how Carl Crawford, the best 5 tool player in the game is 9th overall. Good ratings.

I know i'm a Homie, but really?? Jason Bay ranked ahead of Matt Holliday. Bay hits for more power, but Holliday hits for a higher average, runs better, plays better defense, and has a better arm. Bay is actually ranked ahead of Holliday in defense by 4 points, I think that is a little off.

Re: MLB '10: The Show Top 5 Left Fielders
I'll go through that one by one:
Braun: looks ok Hamilton: vastly overrated He increases from being rated 79/67/79/58 in the last roster update to 85/72/91/80 what did he do last year to deserve it? I know he was injured, but why not keep it the way it was last year? His 2008 btw. was very good but he can thank Rangers ballpark for that. I know he is a popular player and a feel good story, but no way he should be ranked ahead of Holliday. Manny, Bay look alright. Holliday seems a bit weak against LHP, but there was a dropdown against left handers last year so I think it's OK. Before somebody says that Coors Field inflated Holliday's numbers more than Hamilton's. Look at their OPS+. Holliday has been better than Hamilton EVERY SINGLE YEAR. |
Re: MLB '10: The Show Top 5 Left Fielders
wow. quite the impressive list....NOT! Carl Crawford number 9 !? Really? Here is a guy who is top 3 fastest players in mlb. Other than Franklin Gutierrez, he is probably the best defensive outfielder in baseball when you factor in how many runs he saves his team with his range. Also here is a guy who is a career .295 hitter and batted .305 last year, and averages about 14 homeruns a season. Also, he is only 28 and in the prime of his career. And Juan Rivera among others is ranked ahead of him?!? Am i missing something here? These ratings really make me laugh.
