Speaking to CVG in a recent interview, Marketing Manager, Jon Murphy, who's worked on the PES series since 1998, said the new Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 also needs to ensure is doesn't lose any more fans to rival footy games. Quote:

If we can play 25 min games say, while still getting realistic scorelines ( not a bunch of 3-4 scorefests ), then i'd say we might have an actual sim again with some real defence and good player positioning , and not all the overpowered dribbling.
As a fan going back 10 years, this is what would get me to stop editing and playing WE9, and get 2011. |
