What does Geaux mean, and how do you pronounce it?
LSU, fans what is Geaux? How do you even say that word? Where did it come from?

Re: What does Geaux mean, and how do you pronounce it?
It's the Louisiana take on saying Go.
In French eaux makes an 'oh' sound. So it's just another way of saying Go, with kind of a French take on it. Consider the French influence in Louisiana and it makes sense. *not an LSU fan, I just know this. |

I am not sure of the origins but I just believe it is the "Cajun way" of saying "Go Tigers."

How do you even pronounce it though? Do you just say Go Tigers and just spell it Geaux?
