NBA 2K12 - Inevitability (Sim Citi)

Sim Citi checks in with this new NBA 2K12 article. Make sure you give it a read, as Da_Czar goes over the Celtics 13 entry play, a variation the C's run on a floppy play.

Quote:

In 2k11 come hell or high water the 2 would always come off the screens on the same side. So once you saw the initial action as a defender you knew with certainty were the play would terminate.

NBA 2K12 introduces dynamic floppy decisions. This means that the only person on the floor who knows which screens the 2 will come off of is the 2.

Looks great, so much movement from one play. This is gonna be a big part of 2k12 for me, can't wait.

I'm sorry for using a Jersey Shore reference, but I thought this captured the way I feel about this pretty well...

Good looks on the insightful post Czar. 1 mark of a game's improvement over the previous year is if you're able to play it and still be satisfied with it. Every year after the demo comes out and I play it, from that point on I can never go back to the previous iteration of the game. Judging by just the playcalling dynamics alone, I can already tell I won't be going back to 2k11. This just adds a TON of replay value to the game.
