In NBA 2K12, the reason why some of the ratings were very low is because they took out certain attributes. Ball Handling, Post Shot, whatever else and turned them into the Player Efficiency. Lopez went from a 78 in 2K11 to a 76 in 2K12 but if you look at his attributes, he would definitely be higher than a 76.
My hypothesis to the ratings being so high now, or 'normal' is that they probably scaled them higher after the 2K11 to 2K12 transition. Monta Ellis 86 would probably be 83 if you plug in his skill attributes from 2K13 into 2K12. Brook Lopez is probably going to be a 79 now, since he was 76 last year and didn't really do much due to injury. We shall see ... |
