Cycloniac's NHL 13 Music Pack

SVN Playoff Revision 8 is live!

-ALL AHL and NHL Goal Horns Refined and Re-Done
-Intros updated and dB increased to 103
-Minor Generic Break In Play update
-Alternate/Additional horns added for PIT, FLA, PHI, DET, OTT, MTL and WSH
-Alternate/Additional intros added for MIN and NYI
-Authentic Powerplay PA Announcements and/or SFX for the Kings, Jackets, Penguins, Panthers, Bruins and Rangers, and others
-Numerous team-specific break in play updates

I've stored the entire music pack on an SVN repository, via Google Code. If you have no idea what SVN (Subversion) is, think of it as a database of sorts. It is a way that I can easily update my files, and an easier way for you to keep track of my updates and apply them. The usual RAR method is out of date and innefficient and I strongly advise you to use this method.

Alternatively, I will have the RAR files for goal horns and intros updated per season, but the team specific ditties will not; that upload is too large for an RAR file.

SVN Instructions

1. Download TortoiseSVN
TortoiseSVN is not a stand-alone program, it is an extension. Open Windows Explorer (or just go somewhere like My Documents, My Music etc.), right click anywhere, and you will see TortoiseSVN, as well as SVN Checkout added to your usual options.

2. Create a new folder called "SVN" or "NHL Music Pack" in a location that you can easily find, such as My Music.

3. Right click your new folder and select "SVN Checkout."

4. In the section labled "URL of Repository," paste the following link:
http://cycloniac-nhl-music-pack.googlecode.com/svn

5. Select "Ok" which will start the download. Ensure that you have atleast 1.5GB of space available.

6. When the download is finished, go to your SVN folder. You will see that all of the music pack folders and files are there.

7. Check the following link periodically for updates.
https://code.google.com/p/cycloniac-...ck/source/list
You can also PM me your email so I can have the update notifications automatically emailed to you.

When you see a new revision, right click your folder and select the "Update SVN" option. This will apply the updates I have made directly to your files.

8. Follow your console's instructions, ignoring steps 1-4.

Team Specific Ditties
Alot of research was conducted to find specific files and music information for as many NHL teams as possible. So far, I have organ music for the teams that use it, and powerplay, penalty kill and goal against music where possible.

I have two options available for the ditties. I have the link available for my Google Drive, which is updated pretty much in real time. I also have the Google Drive link to the RAR file, which I update periodically. I suggest you download the RAR file and extract those files first, then monitor my Google Drive for updates.

If you aren't satisfied with the amount of music for your team, just tell me (via reply to the thread or PM) so that I can add it. The only reason I wouldn't have the music is because I don't have the info!

What are Goal Horns and Songs?
If you do not like the games default horn AND song
What I usually do is when the goal horn doesn't sound right in the game I use the GHS (goal horn song). This clip contains a custom horn and song together. I insert that in the goal horn slot and then disable the default goal song slot. The end result is that the custom goal horn song clip plays all the way through.

did you ad adverb? Cause tbh i think the nhl game does a good job of adding adverb already. Unless you discovered something I don't know lol.

No reverb. At all. Trust me, taking the "less is more" approach when it comes to reverb seems like the smartest thing to do with the NHL series.

I think maybe the PA announcers(in your intros with pa announcers) should be abit louder, unless you specifically listen for them, it's hard to hear them. The music itself in the intros are fine volume.

I would test but I'm housesitting and don't have my surround sound setup to test.

I may re-do those PA Intros completely soon. Make sure you used my sound sliders.

Probably when teams start updating their intros I'll do that.
