Re: F1 2012 Demo Available Now For 360, Tomorrow For PS3
So far, I likey! The only thing that is iffy from my end is the controls. To me the LS is too sensitive, I barely move it and the car jumps. Wish they let me change the sensitivity like on the PC. Also driving with the controller sucks compared to my G25 (PC).
Not sure if I'm going to purchase this quite yet. 2011 disappointed me, and if I'm going to be racing (online as usually the CPU just doesn't cut it anymore for me) its gonna be iRacing. Now if there is a large OS contingent for F1 2012, I may get it so that we can get some racing in. |
I thought it was okay -- maybe I have flawed recollection but I seemed to remember a better "feel" for the car when I played F1 Championship Edition. After toying around with the demo for a bit, I just don't know how much it will keep my interest (personal view - keep in mind I'm not an F1 enthusiast but do like driving / racing games). I'm probably going to wait around for the reviews on this and turn my focus on NASCAR 2012 Inside the Line (but going to wait for reviews on that as well).

Re: F1 2012 Demo Available Now For 360, Tomorrow For PS3
I havent played an F1 game since the PS1 days, but I'm having so much fun with this demo.
I can't tell you whether it's sim or arcade like, I'm just enjoying my time with it. |
The game looks beautiful, much nicer than last years game. However there appears to be the usual failings that most F1 games have. There is a big discrepancy between the pace of AI cars from their qualifying performance & their race pace. I've lost count of many times with F1 2011 I struggled to get a decent grid position but dominated in the races. Also Ive seen nothing to indicate much in the way of Race Incidents occuring that don't involve your car although that may be harsh to judge bearing in mind the demo race is only 5 laps. I really wish developers of racing games would use sliders so you can make more subtle changes to your gaming experience rather than the simple Easy/Medium/Hard method.
I'll be picking up the game & I'm sure to have some fun but I'm not ecpecting any great revelations with this years title. |
