Guys, you need to check out 2K12
 

The work that MKHarsh33 and crew have done on the rosters for MLB 2K12 are worth going out of your way to check out. The game plays 100x better with the 2013 Opening Day roster than any 2K roster update that was released last year.

Edit: Shogunofharlem3 pointed out that if you are shying away from 2K12 because of outdated schedules and Houston still being in the NL, there is no need to worry. Astros are in the AL and the 2013 schedule has been imported thanks to Reditor!

Plug in some sliders (again, MKHarsh33 is a good starting point) and then dive into Franchise Mode. There, you can truly begin to experience what a solid game 2K12 is with the awesome-playing rosters and great commentary/presentation.

Thanks to Mike and everyone that had a hand in working on the roster project (including the initial discovery of the anticipation attribute).

If you are looking for an MLB 2K game, this is the one to get.

I have a PS3 and after reading posts on here I picked up 2K11. I like it a lot and honestly have more fun with it than The Show. What turned me off of 2K12 is the pitch effectiveness dropping when you don't make the right motions. Basically I suck at pitching so in the 2K12 demo I was losing pitches right and left. Can you turn that off in 2K12 or will I just have to get better at pitching?

Not having Houston in the AL is kind of a deal breaker for me. I'm anal retentive like that.

Oh, but they are! They were moved from NL to AL via the Reditor and the 2013 schedule was added too.

Sorry, should've mentioned that. That is a HUGE addition. Just download the roster and all of those changes will be reflected in Franchise Mode, correct?

Yup. New Roster has the Astros moved, and when you load up a franchise with it the 2013 roster is set to go. Pretty sweet!

Sox hold their 3 game lead over the yankees with only 3 weeks of the regular season left. Huge win over Toronto

I agree they did some amazing work! I started a franchise with Seattle and through two games of my first series against the A's we are 1-1 losing the first game 4-2 and winning the second 6-4! Having a blast thanks for all the hard work!
