Charter04's NCAA Football 14 Heisman Sliders

***These are new heisman sliders. You must follow the instructions for them to work***

Updated as of: 6-20-2014

These are updated for the 2014 college football season.

I originally came up with this because I got tired of constantly tweaking sliders. Well I found myself in the same boat. I end up playing slider testing games more than actual games. LOL. I revisited this method and love the results. I had to change a little to fix some issues I was having though.

These are not for those who don't want to put in a little effort to have a great NCAA Football experience. It really doesn't take that long but, I know some don't like changing rosters. Even though it takes much less time than tweaking sliders for an entire year. LOL

Here are the steps and some things I added to fix QB's tendency getting messed up.

Step one:
-Lower your QB's THA by 30 and the QB's of the team you play that week. Once the week is over raise their THA back up or it will mess up their season. This takes minutes.

-If they are already a scrambler then your done. If they are balanced or pocket passers then you will need to lower elusiveness until they go back to being balanced or pocket passers. Most of the time 10-30 is the number that gets them back to the right tendency. Remember were you had it for putting it back. This seems to have little to no impact of a balanced or pocket passer when it's lowered.

-This will make it were you will have much less accuracy down the field and outs will be harder to complete but, you won't see the crazy throws on simple slant routes.

-Do the same for your own QB's but, you don't have to worry about doing anything to get their tendency right because your controlling them. Unless this hurts recruiting I wouldn't worry about it. Then at the end of the season raise it back up by 30 for possible draft stuff. they will still be higher because they would have progressed.

Step Two: Lower you starting RB's stamina to 0 and the starter on the team you play that week. This will ensure that you will see the back up auto sub in. Then after you play them raise theirs back. You might want to raise injury because of this because they get more injured as they fatigue.

Step Three: Lower your kickers accuracy by 30. Not the slider but, the actual rating. If it's still too easy lower by 35. Kicking is way too easy on default but, I found that lowering my kicker really adds challenge.

That is it. These three adjustments make all the difference. The cool thing is that once you make those changes on your team then you don't have to change it again. You only have to change for the cpu team your playing.

I really can't but, other guys are making me think the retail will be similar as far a sliders go. I also wanted to move the testing to the retail slider thread instead of the demo one.

charter04 07-06-2013 06:49 PM

For those testing on the retail version I would like to know a few things. Is user passing too easy? How are penalties working? How well is the CPU moving the ball? Thanks

Mizzou24 07-06-2013 06:52 PM

Penalties are awful!! I've seen one penalty so far.. I'm in the 3rd quarter.. It was a clipping on a kick return.. Passing is easy I'm lighting up southern miss.. Also their ball control is terrible.. Ill post my final stats when I finish to give u a better idea.. They are no huddling so that could be why the ball control is so bad

Holding calls are gonna have to be raised and false starts.. Not one in the game at 53-55 range in the slider

In the demo I had it on 70. Still didn't see any holding calls. Try 70 and see if you get any.

Mizzou24 07-06-2013 07:59 PM

Roger what about false starts??

I seen two clippings and a face mask last game.

I think 60 for both. See how that works. I had roughing the passer at 53.

Haven't got to play as much as I had wanted, sliders do feel about the same from demo but only got a couple games in. I'll update the sliders from what you have changed. Cpu seems to be able to move the ball fairly good and passing the ball felt just about right to me but again have only played a game or two. Gonna try and get some more in now, any matchups you would like to see? Plus I'll get stats this go around didn't have time earlier.

Mizzou24 07-06-2013 08:13 PM

I simulated to my first challenging game of the year.. Going in 4-0 vs 3-0 #2 Virginia tech A+ across the board.. We are a B average with a B+ offense.. This should give me a better idea how the sliders are.

Try a game with a team like Kentucky against Bama or LSU and see how good they are. Also use a great team against a average team. Then do an even match up.

What I was thinking lol. I know one of the games I got in earlier was Georgia (me) vs Vandy. I won 38 to 17 but Vandy was actually up one late in thiird but I wasable to get momentum and just run away with it in fourth.

9 mins is causing inflated stats. I might have to bump down to 8.. I just got killed .. 70-28... Smh... I couldn't do ****.. My line fell apart causing me to throw the ball to bad spots.. It was rough my run game crumbled.. And v tech was unstoppable til they took their starters out in the 4th. They never showed mercy either kept chucking td on me lol.. Defense was definitely more than challenging I couldn't stop them.

What team were you? Duke? How many plays? It's kind of good that is was tough though. :)

Mizzou24 07-06-2013 10:11 PM

Really tough lol. :p

Ill check the plays after I eat and yeah I'm in my coach dynasty so it was good ole duke haha. Kinda regret takin this job now.. All the acc powerhouses are gonna eat me alive

Mizzou24 07-06-2013 11:24 PM

144 plays I really think 8 mins will be the sweet spot.. Maybe 9 mins on slow?? I've been playing exactly like u have it set up with normal speed.. Also 60/60 created no false starts or holds.. 55 was too much for roughing the passer it was getting called a lot I bumped it down to53

Yea it looks like 8 min is the way to go. Maybe try 65 on FS and OS. Yea I had to go with 53 on RTP. Try holding at 70. Are FG's at least challenging at 30 FG Acc?

I just added penalty sliders. Seems like guys aren't seeing a lot of calls.

Mizzou24 07-07-2013 01:06 AM

My kicker has a 67 power for a leg so I don't kick many field goals lol. Ill try those out when I play again Monday

Very Nice set! I just lost my first game with them 27-24. I was Georgia and I lost to Florida. Stats were good and the game just felt right. I love the medium game speed setting. SEC was trying on slow and it was terrible. I would never play on slow. This is a real solid start on the sliders.

Mizzou24 07-07-2013 10:13 PM

The thing I don't get is why my players feel slow and sluggish I always get caught from behind and then the CPU players make big plays.. I'm lucky to get 7-15 yards and that's my biggest plays unless I get a deep pass which is rare. I just hate how I always get caught from behind.. I'm sure it's because I'm not using this damn speed burst thing they implemented correctly..

I have been playing with speed threshold at 20. Only played with USA so most players are slow and i do get caught. But i am able to get big Gaines at times. One series i played as ASU and had a 100 yard kick return with it at 20.

I don't know how to share stats, but I feel these are pretty solid. Did notice occasionally DB's on both sides of the ball reacting slow. Not all the time. Don't think that's worth changing. Only real concern is number of sacks. Seems that CPU pass rush is a little too strong. All-in-all a solid set so far...

Try the threshold lower like 45,40, 35 and see if that helps. I'm going to test it when I get the game. I just don't want it to hurt other areas of the game like CPU coverage.

Very solid base

Imma work on a version I can use in my OD with default penalties and 25 threshold, and this is a great base to start with

Yea you might want to raise user pass block by 5. I just pick the defense apart if I have too much time.

Cool. I'm going to try a lower threshold myself. I'm making these to use in my Online dynasty too. I'm just ready to get the game and get some real work on these. :)

That sounds good. I hope to not go below 35. I have been ok with 50 myself. I've had some big plays even on 3 min quarters

Mizzou24 07-08-2013 11:23 AM

Game felt pretty good at 40.. Need more testing.. I was too tired after work to even complete a game.. Off today so :) game on

I recommend 35-38 (I use 38) and try that. It felt great and speed played a role but not the whole factor.

Re: Charter04's NCAA Football 14 Heisman Sliders

I felt 41 was just about perfect. I tested this last night with various players and ratings

40 - 42 should be the sweet spot.

the good news is that threshold actually works this year, unlike last year.
