Sound off: Who Should LA Surround Kobe With the Next Two Years?

Kobe Bryant signed a two year deal worth $48.5 million, which means he will remain the highest paid player in the NBA over the next two seasons. One has to figure this is LA's last chance to get in on winning an NBA Championship with Kobe as part of the mix.

Big name free agents are coming onto the market, plus plenty of second tier talent. If you were playing as the Lakers GM, would you go after a superstar like LeBron to join Kobe or would you seek to upgrade the overall talent of the team with smaller signings with the limited cap space you have going into next year?

Don't see Lebron and Wade going to diff teams, and wouldn't work with Lakers if Kobe is still there.

I could see Bosh going there though.

PG wise, maybe someone like Lowry could go to LA? And depending on the direction the Bulls go, maybe they'll let Deng go?

Lineup of:
Gasol
Bosh
Deng
Kobe
Lowry

Wouldn't be bad starting lineup from a single offseason of changes.

Are we even keeping gasol? I could see bosh going to the lakers. I don't see lebron, wade, or melo though. I think granger is an fa, maybe we could sign him, and maybe deng if he doesn't go back to chicago. and I've seen worse point guards than kyle lowry. Personally all the role players we have now, aren't bad guys to surround a superstar with. I wouldn't mind if we kept, henry, farmar, hill, williams, blake, and maybe even johnson for a little added athleticism.

Summer of 2015 when Kevin Love leaves Minnesota and Russell Westbrook leaves OKC, they both go back to LA to play (teammates at UCLA) and join Kobe in his last year to make a run at the title.

Don't see Westbrook leaving OKC or Love play for the Lakers.

I can see the Lakers trying to pick Deng in the off-season and might be able to improve their pg situation by acquiring some team surplus pg sometime this season. Other than that don't really see any big move for the Lakers going into 2015 other than more role players.

kyrie going to LA would be very interesting.

rajon rondo and melo would help him out. they have a bunch of good complementary pieces to surround those 2.
