Work around for real field goal %...
 

If you share the view of kicking being too simple in this game and don't want kick power to be the only attribute that matters...here's how to get a somewhat ratings dependent outcome:

Super sim the kick

I'm tired of going perfect on every kick inside 50 and the only ones I miss are from distances too far for my kicker. I went ahead and did this to start out my Season 2 with the San Diego Chargers.

Josh Lambo is my kicker and I'm 8-11 (72%). Lambo's attributes are: 80 OVR, 93 KPW, 86 KAC, 81 AWR

Missed one from inside 40 and two from 50+

He's 3-3 from 40-49

If the coach suggestion has field goal on the suggested play list I just go ahead and sim the next play. Every time it's been the FG attempt. If it's a for sure FG situation and the game doesn't seem like it would kick the FG the next play I will go ahead and manually kick.

Would love a "watch the next play" feature...as this way is rather anti climatic!

My issue isn't ME missing, it's the CPU...

Do you ever super-sim their kicks in the hope that they may at least miss a long one?

And yes, I wish that, like NCAA you could both sim AND watch the play!

Never thought about doing this lol. For my field goals in years past I would aim my kick with just the kick stick. Your way would also make me put more value on kick accuracy and such. As of now I just find a random punter with the highest kick power and watch him go 100% for years lol.

I've mentioned this numerous times in the threads for ideas for future Maddens... the NBA games use to have daily or weekly updates, for player ratings and such.... they could do this with kickers and their FG %s... And during the game, have an option where you can "super sim" the play but watch it. Can you imagine the INTENSITY being in a playoff game, and fighting hard for field position at the end of the game to get close enough for a FG attempt to win the game, and having to WATCH the CPU kick your FG lol.... Id have no fingernails left to chew!!!

I'm gonne do this for season 3 in my cmf. For user and cpu just.
It's like you said the only fg you miss are from yo far away. CPU also don't seem to miss field goals.

I set my kicking accuracy slider to 25 and I got the kicking arc going crazy moving fast all around bug. Does anybody know how low you can put the slider before you get the bug?

I do this, and yes, I've seen misses by both myself and the CPU. Matter of fact, the CPU missed an extra point the other day.

The CPU doesnt even miss the LONGEST of FGs, but i was wondering... what does the AWR rating for a kicker do anyway?
