The Thread has been updated for this weeks fights. Enjoy!

Looking forward to this great main event. I hope RDA can pull off this tough win to get back into the title mix. There's a few good fights on this card to look out for. Should be a fun night of fights in Mexico. Been craving some UFC the last few weeks. :boxing:

Side Note: I'm Back!!! :y1:

I'm shocked he has agreed to fight, I wouldn't. I would force him to cut at least 5 more pounds and weigh in 1 hour before the fight.

He needs to be cut, 5th time and he has missed badly before. He probably stopped cutting sometime yesterday.

UFC and commission will still have to allow the fight, but since he was only 155, it may still go one since there isn't more than 1 weight class difference.

Thats pretty bad, but honestly oliveira looks small for 155 and lamas looks huge at 145 so it might even out but still I don't blame lamas for taking the fight since the BJ Penn fight was cancelled.

The UFC just needs to force him at 155 like they did with John Lineker when he could never make weight before going to bantamweight.

IIrc they said they would make him fight at LW before the Jury fight, but it's like when he submitted Jury the UFC forgot he missed weight.

Can't say anything about Lamas taking the fight, dudes got to pay the bills.

He gets paid if he makes weight. I would take that and then get a fight scheduled asap. UFC should also provide him with his win bonus.

If he was paid the win bonus automatically as well I would agree. No fighter I can think of has declined the fight after opponent missed weight and there's a reason for that. It's a problem

The system is flawed and I felt the same way when it happened to Brooks recently

UFC needs to step in and make a couple changes to how this works imo

10 pounds is un unacceptable

Edit

For the vast majority of fighters it just simply isn't a viable option to turn down the fight after opponent misses weight when I think that sucks

didn't watch early prelims.

Hope RDA wins, and Lamas as well. Oliveira has done well on the past when he missed weight. Also rooting for Dariush.

She's tough, that's for sure. It was interesting how she got caught in the first, nice recovery.

Grasso is young, could be good for the division. Curious who she fights next.

how is she still in the UFC? They need to release her already.

Re: UFC Fight Night: Dos Anjos vs. Ferguson (11-5-2016)

Grasso can be big she started my roll hopefully it goes 5 for 5.

Grasso
Dariush
Lamas
Held
Ferguson

RDA is a personal favorite fighter but I think Ferguson has too much on the line and would like to see that streak continue.

She is there to make other fighters look good. She is tough, but that is it. She goes out there to get beat up.

I like Dariush. I am not sure he will ever be a champ, but he is a good guy and a good fighter

Dariush is pretty dangerous, I dont know if he left Kings with RDA but they seem be still evolving I would like to see how they do in their new gym.

Any picks for the tuf finale? I missed it so i am unfamiliar.

e: This is a great fight so far

Wow!

RDA left after Alvarez fight, went to Big Bear or something to train at altitude, Dariush went with him.

I am not sure about Dariush but RDA is apparently starting his own. They went down to Mexico to train at higher elevation than Mexico city tho.

Ferguson went to train at Big Bear with Eddie Bravo. I am from around big bear the hill before the mountain so its pretty high elevation.

RDA went down to Mexico somewhere with even higher elevation than Big Bear and Mexico City.

I would think RDA would have the cardio advantage he normally does but I think Ferguson will try to wear him down more than his past opponents which was a murderers row itself. Khabib did the smartest thing but I dont think RDA expected it. He is now so this is interesting fight regardless.

and now we have Lamas v Oliveira. That weight discrepancy will definitely weigh more at elevation I imagine but I suspect Lamas will have the conditioning advantage.

e: Oliveira putting it on Lamas very dangerous fight.

Wow! Lamas comes through with a guillotine : o

Lamas vs Oliveira should be good but it's pretty crazy he's fighting this at 155. should be funny when they read his weight to the ppl and they hear he difference.

Edit: did Bruce buffer read his weight at 145 and not 155? Did I hear that wrong? lol
