    Pitch types

I noticed how there a lot of different pitch types in this game and some personal names pitchers use (ex Orlando Hernandez changeup is callled El Dropo). Anyway I noticed a pitch type for a couple of different pitchers called FOSH. What the heck is a Fosh pitch? Kerry Wood has it in his arsenal.

    Re: Pitch types

It's a pitch that gets cranked straight out of the yard when I throw it. It looks like some sort of slow curve.

Makes me mad to b/c I can see the people asking about the # of pitches there are in the game and how they differ from one another. And Fosh was one that was asked about alot. POOP ! I wish I could remember ? I just spent an hour looking at different sites.

I will not thrown that pitch anymore. I threw that to Pujols with Kerry Wood and he cranked it right out of the park!

A fosh is a changeup...it's thrown in a splitter grip, only the index and middle fingers are both on the same side of the seams, and the ring and pinkie fingers on the other side. It's basically a "live long and prosper" vulcan grip.
