    Despit all the slider info

My best and most fun games have been on the default All-Star setting.

I will tweak the CPU pitch balls slider, and I will look at other sliders to see why I pitch more balls with custom then not, but other than that and CPU Stealing, everything is perfect so far on All-Star.
be who you are and say what you feel, because those who matter don't mind, and those that mind, don't matter.

Re: Despit all the slider info

I agree with you for the most part. However, I am have tried all the slider settings offered by everyone in the slider posts. What I have found is that my ability at striking out the computer is far too great to make the settings realistic. I truly believe that Graphik has done extensive work testing his sliders and they may work great for a lot of people. Yet, using his sliders, I was averaging about 15ks a game with Mike Mussina. He real life stats are less than one strike out per innings pitched. Nevertheless, in my franchise, he is averaging nearly 2.5ks per innings pitched. I am still experiementing looking for settings that will enable the computer to put the ball in play more, yet not to the point where every time they make contact they get a base hit.

Anyone else getting too many strike outs against the computer? Not batting, I mean pitching against the computer. How many Ks are people getting with their slider settings?

I noticed last night I was getting quite a few - probably more than I should (I'm using Graphik's settings). I thought I might try turning up the Batting Average slider for the CPU. Maybe that will help?

Graphik, have you made any additional adjustments to your sliders?

everyone seems to have steals at 45.
does anyone know if any of that "to easy to steal" stuff was fixed?

Re: Despit all the slider info

If you're getting too many K's as I was myself, the setting that need to be changed are no strike zone, no pitching cursor, batting eye(balls) at 70 - 90. batting eye (strikes) 45-55, and although I use medium variable pitching some set it to high.

HVP made me very inaccurate with my good pitchers. But the word is still out on if this is really true or just a one time thing.

                    Good luck
