Pitcher dies after being hit by a line drive

That really is sad. With all of these high tech bats out today the game has gotten so much more dangerous.

on friday one of my teammates almost got hit in the head. luckily he got his arm up enough and it hit is forearm. also last tuesday a kid on my team hit a bullet back to the mound. it hit the pitcher in the chest. but hit his arm first so it wasn't as fast.

that is a really sad thing. hopefully nothing like that happens to anyone who plays ball. nobody deserves to die on the playing field.

Kazuhisa Ishii (sp?) is lucky he didn't get hit in the temple by his comebacker, otherwise he may've been a goner.

BTW, I'm reading this summer book for school called A Prayer for Owen Meany, and Owen Meany kills his best friend's mother with a foul ball... all of this very sad. But it was funny in the book because the police only cared about the ball, because they said that it was a murder weapon.

THats horrible. That was always my biggest fear when I played in college. My senior year I got hit in the face with a line drive. Broke my jaw and was eating pizza out of a blender for six months. If that ball was any higher who knows. Could have been more problems than a mettle plate in the jaw.
