Was that a joke article, or are the BBWAA really this power drunk?

God, I hope the newspaper business gets rid of sports reporters.

If you think a guy should be in the HOF, vote for him every year he is eligible. Not that hard of a concept. One of the many reasons I don't like the HOF voting process.

This, and the guys who won't vote for someone because they don't believe anybody should be a unanimous selection, are the 2 things that piss me off the most. At the top of a long list.

Re: 2013 Hall of Fame Ballot Discussion

BTW - these HOF voters who make it seem like such a sacred thing to receive their HOF vote and are therefore so 'worried' about casting a vote for such criminals as Bonds, Clemens, Piazza, Biggio, etc really kill their own case when they vote for the likes of Aaron Sele, Steve Finley, Sandy Alomar, Shawn Green, and company instead.

That doesn't scream "this is important and I can't vote for PED's"....it screams "I have the power and I'll yield it how I wish".

Now if they would only lift the ban on Jackson as well. Almost a century has passed for ****'s sake.
What would be the point of lifting the ban after the guy is dead? An apology to his family or something?

I'm not saying the ban is right or wrong, but if they feel they are in the right by banning him (which they clearly do because the ban is still there), they shouldn't have to apologize to anyone, and I wouldn't see the point of the MLB "honoring" him after death. If you're gonna do it, lift the ban now while the guy is still alive.
