Today is the 14th anniversary of the Red Sox scoring 14 runs in the first inning of a 25-8 rout of the Marlins. That inning they batted around twice, and their half of the inning alone lasted 50 minutes.

Which is almost crazy considering that was the year Florida won the World Series.

Earlier today, umpire John Tumpane saved a woman’s life on the Roberto Clemente Bridge.
