I've met Gilbert on more than a few occasions and he is a heck of a cool guy and very down-to-Earth considering what he is worth.

Rumor around Detroit has Gilbert courting Bill Laimbeer to head basketball operations for his new Cavs.

I was under the impression that Laimbeer was to be the next Piston coach whenever LB decided to retire

I really dont think Laimbeer would go back to Cleveland he's said many times on the espn nba pregame show that he hated it there and plus i doubt he'd risk giving up the chance to coach the pistons when Brown retires.

It's funny to think out of all the years he has to sell the Cavs, he sells them when they're making the most money (tickets, Lebron jerseys) and experiencing success.
But I guess that is the best time to sell...
