Re: 2017 Offseason Thread

3 games tonight but no games Saturday.

I guess Saturday was reserved for potential game 7s.

Or it's ESPN's turn to get 3 games since TNT/NBA TV have been doing the games the whole week.

Saturday would've been Raptors-Bucks and Spurs-Grizzlies gm7s. And probably one more series gm7 too.

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread

Am i the only one who thinks that with all the talk about upcoming free agents like Hayward,Griffin, Paul etc that Ibaka is getting overlooked? Almost every team wants a rim protector who can play the 4/5 plus shoot 3's. Do people think it would be a good idea for the Jazz to trade Derrick Favors and sign Ibaka? They would have arguably the 2 best rim protectors in the league plus with Ibaka being able to shoot from outside it would improve Utah's spacing.
(This is assuming they re-sign Hayward)

It's not a bad idea. But if we were to move Favors, I'd prefer we bring Millsap in (or even Blake). Someone to take some of the scoring load off of Hayward since we'd be departing with Hill if that happens.

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread

Ibaka hasn't been a top 2 rim protector in about 5 years. He's really not above average at anything at this point. He'll make a good starter somewhere but he's not taking any team to the next level unless they clearly have a hole to fill.

With Paul and Wade having player options and Melo's future with the Knicks up in the air, someone needs to make the Banana Boat crew happen!

I'd be surprised if Raptors don't re-sign Ibaka. People guessing it might've been one of those "handshake agreements" made when they traded for him which is why they were so comfortable giving up a pick and player for him.

I think it's a foregone conclusion he'll be a Raptor next year. I've been hearing off and on throughout the year that Lowry might be a Sign and Trade guy this offseason though.
