Let's make an NFL 2k3 manual that is actually useful!

Since the manual is wrong or confusing in some places (i.e. hot routes) and just lacking in others (i.e. defining maximum passing), lets put all the undocumented control things we find in here...

    Offensive Hot Routes:

Push the stick in the direction you want, then press the button corresponding to the receiver. The new route will *not* show up when checking routes by pressing L and R.

        Running - Head Charge:

Pressing both the left and right shoulder buttons on the XBOX will make the runner do a head charge. (probably also works in PS2)

I believe that's were they cover the ball and charge forward with their head down.

You can still pump fake by double tapping a button as well. They have pump fake as the white button (R2 PS2) in the manual.

Calling a timeout on the field is the BACK button on XB.

Bump. Good thread. Maybe turn this into a FAQ thing for the manual or newbies to the 2k series.

For advanced line moves, press and hold L1 or R1 to determine which direction you want to go off the O lineman. At the moment of contact, pressing:

square - will push the lineman away
triangle - will put a hand up to try to swat
circle - to spin off the lineman

I haven't figured out what the X button does.

Also, pressing select at any stat screen with a player highlighted will bring up a screen listing that player's career stats.

same thing but change the code for the buttons of the PS2 to letters for the xbox. this one actually is in the book but i'll try to remember off the top of my head...

instead of L1-R1 I think you hold down R and I think triangle is Y, square is X, circle is B and X is A.

I'm almost postive I'm complete wrong about those buttons, lol but I'm sure the moves correspond to the same buttons.
