Gameplan how does this effect the game?

During franchise there is a gameplan section in the coaches office. Inside there are settings like how much you want to run vs pass, blitz vs not, pass defense vs run defense, long vs short pass defense. My friend said that in the manual it said this is how the players will practice. Now does this just take effect when you start a game it looks at those settings and says ok this is how they practiced last week? Anyone have more details on this feature, I had orgiinally thought it was just how you wanted the computer to sim your games. But this makes me think differently.

as far as i know it is only for when the computer sims your team's games. i haven't tried this but if you really wanted to find out:
    1. make some extreme settings like 98% pass, 2% run
    2. start one of your franchise games as normal but pause before kickoff.
    3. choose quit, then simulate to end.
    4. check out the box score stats and see what happened.

Re: Gameplan how does this effect the game?

I started a game and had the gameplan set to all pass. I then played about 1 quarter( wanted to try out the faster speed thing) then simmed the rest. The computer simmed it with 24 passes and 16 runs for remainder of game. So I don't think it effects play calling. It looks like it might effect how you practiced the week before as the manual says. I 'm just wondering if anyone has seen anything come of this. Say you get burned by the run one week and you load up on run defeinse during practice do you then play better against the run?

I assumed that the Gameplan sliders only affected "simmed" games, but you're right -- the manual DOES imply that these have some sort of impact on games you actually play out. (Which would be FANfreakin'TASTIC!)

          Anyone know?

I was checking out Gamefaqs xbox nfl2k3 message board looking for tips and saw this post by absolute, go to coaching strategies there are sliders there that affect team play move slider more towards the passing side and you will get better pass protection, you can also affect how deep they run their routes. I have yet to try this

Well the manual says one thing but doesn't go with what it's the game.

It has a few categories that seem to have changed.

It would have been great if this was for training or simming but we just don't know.
