Hailmary play in 2k3?

Does anyone else not use it anymore in NFL2k3 because of the success rate? (from what I can tell, it works about 80 percent of the time).

I never use a hailmary play in any football game. It is, and has always been, the cheesiest play in football gaming.

If the success of the hail mary play is that high, your settings are too easy. Move the passing, fatigue, and coverage slider all the way to the right.

I hope Lightning's right or I'm doing something wrong. Even on practice mode when I try to practice catching deep balls with it I don't catch that many.

I use it all the time, 'cause I'm always losing...
But I think I've completed only one. I actually took control of Thrash, ran under the ball, made the catch myself, and took it to the house.

But otherwise, it hasn't worked worth a damn ...

I've noticec that if the defenders are ahead you'll complete it more often than not... much like in real life. But that's only when the cover guy doesn't "stick to you like glue"... if you got the defender burnt by like 2-3 yards, chances are he'll get a hand on it. I'm probably sporting a 40% success rate with it. But at the same time i only use when neccessary, and not like on 2nd and 2 or something stupid like that.

Crank up that coverage slider baby and that 80% will drop like Farley's panties!

I tried this play with the Vikings and completed about 25% of the passes with 8 interceptions and 4 touchdowns. I threw to either Moss or Bates everytime. The Hail Mary play was the only play I used unless I was inside the 25 yard line.

i hate using that play if you used that play every down you would probaly win the game 100-0

primetime, try it. I don't think that's true. I'm not the greatest player around but I don't think I suck that bad. The play probably works about 15-25% for me too, and that's just to make a catch, not to score. A lot of the other 85% results in INTs too.

Yeah guys right now I'm just using the normal PRO sliders. I don't want to move them as the rest of the game seems completly normal. I'm not even taking control of the WR when I complete the bomb either, the computer simply does it.
