I remember back when Platini was head of UEFA and the scandals with FIFA were just breaking, my Scottish friend - who has spent time living in France as well - told me that Platini would come in and clean things up and eventually head FIFA. I laughed at him at the time.

Definitely 'member-berry'd him today on that one.

Yeah that's pretty funny, especially considering everything Platini had done after retiring pointing towards him being an absolutely massive douche-canoe.
