I just got Shift 2 this weekend and for the most part, I am having a blast.
Do any of you have an opinion on what setting makes for the most realistic racing?
I started on hard elite, but switched out of that rather quickly after I realized it would be impossible to compete without a wheel. I am currently playing medium elite.
My only concern with this game is how easy it is to stay out front once you are there. It seems the effective race strategy is to be aggressive out of the gate and try to get to the front as quickly as possible. I have noticed that the longer I run behind, the faster the AI becomes and catching the cars ahead is nearly impossible. This makes for a very bland experience because the race for me is usually won or lost at the first corner.
It is very seldom I find myself actually racing the AI. Can a few of you sim style racers chime in on what settings you have found to be realistic and enjoyable?
