Maybe they'll be racing on Tuesday like at Atlanta last September.

Maybe I'm the only one that would like this but I wish the Daytona 500 was a night race.

i don't think the rain tomorrow is that bad of an idea ... let's run this puppy in prime time tomorrow night instead of at 12 pm when everyone is at work. sucks for those down there that have to leave but ratings wise it would benefit nascar.

Yeah if they going to get it in it will have to be tomorrow and I have no objection's to it being tomorrow night. But they have to get it in tomorrow cause they have to get those haulers out of Daytona and into Phoenix by Thursday.

Re: OSFC-Daytona 500

That is such a crazy schedule why doesn't NASCAR put a race closer to Daytona?! Why not Homestead as the second race of the season vs last race?

Depends on many things, who owns the track, when they are willing to have a race, when is the best time economically for them to have a spot on the schedule, weather for the time of year. Many many different factors go into choosing what venue they will race at on a certain weekend then just jotting them down on a calender.

Very true weather is Arizona is much better then say Chicago right now. I hope the race goes on Monday.

We'll get at least 250 miles in. So look for things to pick up close to that half way mark, drivers are going to go all out sooner just in case weather is an issue. There is also that $200,000 halfway bonus tomorrow so it will be interesting to watch for that.
