Coors Field,Denver,Co.-As has been the case for much of this young season,Phillies pitching was terrible once again,with starter Cole Hamels lasting just 3 and two thirds innings while allowing 9 hits and 8 runs as the Rockies easily defeated the Phillies 15-8.In the 18 hit assault,Colorado got at least two hits from all 8 position players with Brad Hawpe leading the way,going 3 for 4 with 3 RBI and 2 runs scored.Following the game,the Phillies designated Clay Condrey for assignment freeing up a roster spot for pitcher Kyle Kendrick who will join the team in Washington.In his 3.2 IP,Condrey has allowed 12 hits and 10 runs and has an ERA of 24.50.

US Cellular Field,Chicago,Ill.-White Sox 1B Paul Konerko blasted his 300th career home run in the bottom of the first inning to give Chicago an early 4-0 lead on the visiting Twins,but the lead would not hold as Minnesota battled back to win the game 10-9.The game winning hit came from the bat of Joe Crede,who singled home Nick Punto with two outs in the top of the 8th inning to put Minnesota ahead to stay.
